Specific Gravity & Fineness of Grind

The Fineness of Grind Gauge is used for the determination of the wet film thickness at which the size of the pigment just exceeds the film thickness. Spscific Gravity Cups PRESSURE DENSITY CUP (also known as Pressure Weight per Gallon Cup and Pressure Pyknometer)

Test that require the determination of specific gravity of paints and similiar materials can be easily carried out with the Sheen Pyknomter Cups. They are available in alloy versions, or stainless steel.

For pigment dispersion, we offer single, double and three channel Fineness of Grind Gauges which are constructed from hardened stainless steel and precision ground. Basic models are calibrated to microns and Hagman scales.
